The UFC heavyweight division has taken a great loss with fighter Chuck Liddell announcing his retirement from the UFC. Who do they expect to sell tickets and pay per views now with him leaving the sport? The answer is all the great up and coming talent that they have been showcasing lately.
The new up and comers will have a lot of glove to fill if they think they can replace veterans like Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz. Fighters like Mirko Cro Cop and Cheick Kongo are two of the top up and coming heavyweight fighters that have great skills to win over the crowd. Mirko Cro Cop has the best chance of all heavyweight by what he brings to the table. His well built legs have tremendous power and with is great ability to throw his left leg kick, he's capable of knocking out anyone set forth.
Other up and comers like Cheick Kongo would have something to say about that in a match. Cheick Kongo is know for his great hands and good take down defense. With his great power and speed for a big man, he is defiantly capable to knock out the best of the best and the toughest of the toughest. Kongo looked very impressive in beating Dan Evensen with a first-round TKO in UFC 97.
The UFC heavyweight up and comers will have their chance to shine in the spotlight with fights and pay-per-view events that have been set up. With UFC 98,99,100 right around the corner, it looks like these guys will have a great opportunity to showcase the skills they each possess.
